LL Cool J Offers Opinion on Miranda Lambert Concert Selfie Drama

Miranda Lambert has been catching heat since splitting the internet with her decision to halt a recent concert and call out fans taking photos in the audience, and now even LL Cool J is putting in his two cents on the situation.
The legendary "Rock the Bells" rapper commented on the "Drunk" singer's actions during an interview on Audacy radio show Mercedes in the Morning on July 19, giving his opinion and offering some simple advice.
When asked if he would call out a fan for taking a selfie at his show, he began laughing and replied, "No," further quipping, "Miranda, get over it, baby."
"They're fans. It's fans," the NCIS star added.
The "Mama Said Knock You Out" emcee went on to say that while an artist's job is "to create art, the way people choose to interact with that art or engage it or appreciate it is up to them. If you want to come to my show and you want to sit there and eat a bowl of potato salad with a baseball hat down to your nose, that's what you choose to do. You gotta let the fans do what they want to do."
Continuing, the Grammy-winner added of Lambert, "I can't speak for her. I'm not gonna judge her. I have nothing unkind to say about her. I wish her the best. She has the right to her feelings. But to me, I let the fans be the fans and do what they want to do."
In case you missed it, the country songstress scolded a group of concert-goers who stood up to take photos during her Las Vegas show earlier this month, prompting a full-on internet debate on whether her response was justified, or just plain unnecessary.
Stopping in the middle of singing heartbreak anthem "Tin Man," she proclaimed: "I'm gonna stop right here for a second, Danny, I'm sorry," at the time. "These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song and it's pissing me off a little bit," she said sternly while pointing out the group.

"I don't like it," she further declared. "At all."
"We're here to hear some country music," Lambert continued, "And I'm singing some country damn music!" she said while motioning for the group to stop with the picture-taking and sit back down.
After the incident, older concert footage began to surface of the 39-year-old singer—including one snippet where she popped a beach ball that the crowd was enjoying bopping around—with one fan even dubbing her the "Grinch of country music" for the (what some felt was a pretentious) display.
As for the music icon-turned-actor, he's preparing to headline a few shows of his own, hitting a variety of cities from August through November for his upcoming F.O.R.C.E Tour. LL Cool J will also be joined by several hip-hop notables including The Roots, Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa, Big Boi, De La Soul, Common, Ice-T, Jadakiss, MC Lyte, Doug E. Fresh and Slick Rick, Rakim, and many more.
