Lizzo Just Debuted Super-Long Purple Hair for the First Time
With October comes the stressful scramble for creative and cost-effective Halloween costumes. And while most of us turn to Pinterest to embrace more overt spooky vibes — black webbed nails, glittery zombie makeup, or Medusa-inspired curls — Lizzo is proof you can put a high-fashion, low-key spin on All Hallow's Eve.
The singer took to Instagram on Tuesday, showing off her take on Halloween hues: bright purple hair and neon orange eyeshadow.
"PURPLE HOT STUFF," Lizzo captioned the pictures, alongside a matching purple devil emoji.
This isn't the "Truth Hurts" singer's first time playing around with purple. Just weeks ago, she shared a picture from her concert in Atlanta wearing a violet wet and wavy wig paired with bold pink and blue eye shadow. While that particular hue had inkier indigo undertones, her new shade seems to boast fuchsia and magenta highlights. Additionally, the extensions from her previous look skimmed her waist; her hair now reaches past her butt when it's blown out into soft curls.
But Lizzo's look is only complete with her perfectly on-trend neon makeup — highlighter-orange lids accentuated with bright yellow on her inner corners — giving off the chicest jack-o’-lantern vibes we've ever seen.
It's not confirmed if the singer's purple hair is a long-term change; she credited celebrity hairstylist Shelby Swain for this color. But we have a feeling Lizzo will ditch these colors just in time to bewitch us an entirely new look on October 31.
