  • Lizzo covered "Adore You" and included a shout-out to her pal and a flute solo.

  • The pair performed together at the SiriusXM & Pandora Opening Drive Super Concert Series last month.

There's no better way to ignite a nascent friendship than by publicly professing that you'd walk through fire for your pal. Lizzo did just that during her BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session, which was released yesterday. Reciprocating Harry Styles's cover of her own single "Juice" back in December, she chose a song from his latest album, Fine Line.

"Oh, Harry," she belted out, giving a shout-out to the singer-songwriter during her "Adore You" cover. "I'd walk through fire for you, just let me adore you." Of course, Lizzo also whipped out her signature instrument for a quick flute solo, giving Styles's single a fresh twist.

Later on Instagram, Lizzo posted her performance, passionately captioning it with, "LET ME ADORE YOU, HARRY STYLES 😫."

Last month, the duo performed together at the SiriusXM & Pandora Opening Drive Super Concert Series. Styles made a surprise appearance during the 2020 Grammy winner's set, joining in for a rendition of her hit single "Juice."

This unexpected friendship may have never blossomed had Styles not covered "Juice" during his own Live Lounge session last year. Lizzo loved his cover so much that she tweeted about it, adding the cheeky message, "You know what this means right....?"
