If there's one person who owns the crown for self-love, it's Lizzo.

Known for her refreshing approach to body positivity and chart-topping hits such as Good As Hell, the singer continues to breakdown fat-phobia barriers and stereotypical body norms.

Lately, the Truth Hurts singer has been upping her game in the self-love department, and it's all to do with how she feels about her belly. The stomach is often a point of insecurity for women, but Lizzo's approach to embracing her body - and her belly specifically - is something we probably all need to see.

In the video, shared on Instagram, Lizzo can be seen talking to her stomach in the mirror. Yup, that's right, Lizzo says, "I love you" to her belly every morning. Because saying it out loud is half the battle to actually believing it, right? We are totally here for this kind of self-affirmation, and we'll be practising this ASAP.

The video shows Lizzo wearing a black Tomboyx sports bra, lace underwear and a towel in her hair, as she stares at herself in the mirror to practice her newly adopted routine.

"I love you so much," she says. "Thank you so much for keeping me happy, for keeping me alive. Thank you."

After blowing a few kisses to her stomach, Lizzo continues, saying, "I'm gonna continue to listen to you. I love you so much. I love you so much. You deserve all the space in the world to breathe, to expand and contract, to give me life. I love you," before doing a sassy little body shake.

The Juice singer shared insight into her new routine with fans, saying, "I started talking to my belly this year. Blowing her kisses and showering her with praises."

But this wasn't always the case for the singer who has publicly shared her struggles with negative thoughts. "I used to want to cut my stomach off I hated it so much. But it’s literally ME. I am learning to radically love every part of myself. Even if it means talking to myself every morning. This is your sign to love on yourself today! ❤️ " she writes.

This is one message we are 100% behind, and it seems we're not the only ones. Supermodel Ashley Graham also took notes, commenting, "affirmations babyyyyyy👏🏽🙌🏽."

In a world where unrealistic body ideals and body-shaming continue to dominate the media landscape, learning to radically love every inch of yourself is by no means easy, as Lizzo says. But this is one lesson perhaps we should all try to master in 2021, because one thing is for sure, we all deserve to feel good as hell.
