Lizzo Flirted With Niall Horan and Made Him Blush

Lizzo has officially made Niall Horan blush. The former One Direction member spilled the beans about his encounter with the "Truth Hurts" singer when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Dec. 13, saying that Lizzo surprised him the first time they met.

“Someone said, ‘Lizzo’s here! She’d love to meet you,’” Niall told Jimmy of their "flirt fest" in London. “So we’re passing in the corridor. I was like, ‘Lovely to meet you!’ I gave her a big hug [and said] ‘Your voice is incredible. Your songs are amazing. You’re absolutely smashing it.’ And literally, without missing a beat, she just went, ‘You can smash this!&apos”

“I actually started blushing myself.”

Niall revealed that the pickup line worked — at least a little bit. “I actually started blushing myself," he shared through laughter. And he&aposs not making it up. According to Bustle, Lizzo confirmed the run-in in an interview with KISS FM UK. She played "Two Lies and One Truth" with host Tom Green and used it as an example, though she made him guess whether she&aposd told Niall, Shawn Mendes, or Ed Sheeran she wanted to "smash." The host guessed Shawn Mendes, which wasn&apost true. "Shawn and I have a very friendly relationship ... there&aposs only One Direction that I&aposm going in!" Lizzo joked. "It was in passing. He was so cute! I didn&apost expect him to be so cute in person."

We&aposve gotten to see a lot more of our favorite blonde One Direction member as of late. Niall has been doing the rounds, promoting his new songs "Nice to Meet Ya" and "Put a Little Love on Me." He just made his solo debut on the SNL stage, wearing an adorable pastel pink suit, and even appeared in a sketch. His second album doesn&apost have a release date yet, but he&aposs been busy; in October, he told UK station Hits Radio that he&aposd written over 60 songs and was busy cutting down the track list, and added that the album probably won&apost be out until early 2020.

&aposTil then, we&aposll be listening to our inspired new playlist: one song by Lizzo, then one by Niall, and so on. And while there isn&apost yet a Lizzo and Niall duet in our future, we hope their exchange was just the beginning of a beautiful friendship — they did get to see each other at the Jingle Ball in NYC this past weekend and shared a sweet hug.
