Lizzo and Awkwafina Play Piano Together in Throwback Video

Before the Grammy-winning album Cuz I Love You, before Crazy Rich Asians and Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens, there was just Awkwafina and Lizzo sitting together at a piano and hanging out.

On Thursday, Awkwafina shared the ultimate throwback video on her Instagram featuring the "Juice" singer. The video was taken in 2017, back when both Awkwafina and Lizzo were hustling hard as rising stars. By that time, Awkwafina had already become a breakout sensation thanks to her memorable supporting role in Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising and her Comedy Central Show Tawk. Meanwhile, Lizzo was flying high off the success of her first major EP, Coconut Oil, which featured what would become the massively popular single "Good As Hell."

Looking back on it, 2017 was the beginning of a new chapter for both Awkwafina and Lizzo. But the video the Crazy Rich Asians star shared earlier this week only featured two chill-as-hell artists goofing around on the piano, playing a version of "Heart and Soul," seemingly unaware of the greatness coming for them. Awkwafina recalled the fun moment in a brief but illuminating caption, recalling, "Circa 2017 - Stumbled on this from what seems like ages ago. Taken right after a deep *ss conversation about our hopes, worries and dreams for the future. Crazy how time flies. Love you @lizzobeeating."

So, guys, when's the duet coming out? Because we need a follow-up to that incredible "Heart and Soul" remix ASAP.
