Livvy Dunne showed up to support her boyfriend, pitcher Paul Skenes, as he made his MLB debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday night.

Decked out in the team’s black, white, and yellow merch, along with a button featuring Skenes’ face, the LSU gymnast cheered alongside her beau’s friends and family in the VIP box.

Dunne was clearly fired up for Skene’s debut, but she was also a bit anxious at seeing him perform on such a grand scale. At one point during the game, Dunne posted a TikTok in which she lip-synced the line, “Boyfriend, I’m nervous!”

But Dunne had no reason to be nervous. Whilst dazzling the crowd with his 100 MPH fastball, Skenes lasted four innings and struck out seven batters with his impressive arm. However, he was pulled out of the game when he allowed three runs on six hits. That didn’t stop the Pirates from prevailing 10–9 over the Chicago Cubs, though.

“I always say, it’s way harder to be the person in the stands watching because I’m not in control,” the SI Swim model told MLB in a post-game interview. “I can’t control—I don’t know how to throw a 100-mile fastball, but it’s hard to have no control. Especially with gymnastics when you’re just watching. But I know he’s got this and I just have a lot of confidence in him.”

On Sunday, Dunne posted to TikTok two shots from Saturday. The first shows Dunne in a mirror selfie, captioned, “Me without a mustache.” The next photo, captioned “Me with a mustache,” shows her and a mustachioed Skenes embracing on the field.

Dunne’s fans were just as enamored with Skene’s performance as she was. “Flawlessly executed,” wrote @junesey6. “He was dealing,” @adamanthony2021 said. “Welcome to Pittsburgh.”

“He’s only gonna get better. Just gotta get comfortable,” opined @HIIIIIMMMM. Meanwhile, @force5 admitted he was a “huge Cubs fan but [Skenes] pitched great.”

Skenes will next take the field tonight when the Pirates play the Brewers in Milwaukee.
