Kitchen and joinery studio Blakes London is a long-time Livingetc favourite for its one-of-a-kind creations. We’re continually impressed by the craftsmanship of its work, from home bars to dressing rooms – and this kitchen-slash-bar space, with ribbed units and Arabescato marble worktops, is just one example of its excellence.

‘The detailing of the cabinets here is delightful,’ says Pip Rich.

As the leading UK supplier of Scandinavian-style kitchens and furniture, Sola Kitchens already has a lot to shout about, even before we get to its most
recent creation – a large, open-plan, family-friendly space that embraces the clients’ Asian heritage and combines it with their love of Scandinavian design.

‘With almost endless options to customise your kitchen, Sola’s designs are of the highest quality and incredibly well thought-out,’ says Hugh Metcalf.

‘As kitchens get more refined, we’re looking for appliances that do it all while looking good – and the Air-Tec range cooker does just that,’ says Ellen Finch.

A truly innovative collection, Luce is a range of translucent marble and onyx effect porcelain surfaces that, when backlit, reveal the beauty of the patterns – making for
a striking kitchen centrepiece.

‘We were sold on the impressive range of new finishes here, including a beautiful jade green [above] and soft purple-blue,’ says Sarah Spiteri.

We were immediately wowed by Lusso’s Lamp collection, featuring a range of floorstanding and countertop basins and a freestanding bath, each crafted from a single block of premium marble and finished with signature fluting. The gently flared silhouette of the pieces was inspired by traditional lighting design.

‘It’s a shape unlike anything we’ve seen in bathroom design before,’ says Sarah Spiteri.

BEST BATH - winner: Essex bath by BC Designs

Offering a new take on the freestanding bath, the Essex is a softly curved design mounted on a minimalist matt black stand – quite literally elevating this classic piece to a new level.

‘This is a refreshingly modern approach to freestanding baths, and one I’m sure readers will love as a refined, pared-back but still statement-making alternative,’ says Pip Rich.

Marking the interior designer’s first collection with Drummonds are two elegant wall lights as well as a sleek mirror.

‘Of course something with Suzy Hoodless’ name to it will be glorious – but we loved the timelessness of these pieces,’ says Hugh Metcalf.
