When Kelly Ripa isn't busy filming new episodes of Live With Kelly and Ryan, she's working on promoting her new book, Live Wire out September 27. According the daytime TV talk show host, a new project means coming up with unique ways to promote it, including sharing a rare glimpse of herself makeup-free.

On September 15, the Generation Gap star took to Instagram to talk about all things related to the release of her upcoming memoir. Lying in bed alongside her husband Mark Consuelos, she wore not a stitch of makeup as she gave her followers details about where they could see her on her book tour. In the snippet, Kelly wore a colorful top with her blonde hair in loose waves. She was barefaced while talking to the Riverdale actor who proudly held onto a copy of her memoir.

"My book tour is less than two weeks away, and we are kicking it off in my home state," she said in the short clip. "And we want you — yes, you — to come join us for a night of fun. It's gonna be a lot of laughs."

While Kelly has spent a few weeks shedding light on the upcoming book release, Live fans were still just as ecstatic about the launch. Many headed to her Instagram comments section to share their excitement about getting the chance to read the All My Children alum's work.

"I pre ordered my a while ago, can’t wait to read it!! Congratulations 🎉🥰," one person wrote. "Congratulations all the best. Mines on order 💙💙," another follower responded. "Super excited to listen and read, X," a different fan added.

So, what can fans expect to read about in Live Wire? According to the book's official site, Kelly plans to take fans into her world and how she found success while balancing both her professional and personal lives.

To celebrate the big occasion, Kelly will also be taking her memoir out on the road, touring in places like New York, New Jersey, Illinois and Kentucky, among other stops. Talking alongside her husband and friends Anderson Cooper, Bethenny Frankel, Jerry O'Connell and Justin Sylvester, she will delve into the road she took to becoming a new author.
