  • Prince George has become "obsessed" with apple juice produced by Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp and his wife Shirlie Holliman.

  • The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton first brought home the juice after working with Martin's son Roman on a short film, which led to a visit to the family farm.

  • Middleton provides the Kemps with her own homemade honey in exchange.

Would you believe us if we told you that Kate Middleton and her son, Prince George, have a close connection with an '80s celebrity?

Oh, you would? Because they're rich, famous, and influential, which grants them easy access to pretty much any renowned figure in Britain who isn't, like, Christopher Eccleston or Johnny Marr?

OK, but were you expecting this story to involve Spandau Ballet and apple juice?

Come on, no, you weren't. Don't lie.

No, the connection didn't come because Prince George has been rocking out to Spandau's 1981 debut, Journeys to Glory. In fact, Middleton's kid's affection for the Kemp brothers' band comes by way of one of their sons.

Roman Kemp, a TV and radio personality in the U.K., is the son of Martin Kemp, bassist for Spandau Ballet, and singer Shirlie Holliman of Pepsi & Shirlie. Roman's uncle, Gary Kemp, is the frontman of Spandau Ballet. Plus, his godfather was the late George Michael. So, Roman has a fair number of connections to pop royalty.

Last year, Roman also made connections with actual royalty. He teamed with Middleton for "a short film about mental wellbeing," the collaboration included a visit to Roman's family farm.

"My mum and dad have this lovely house that they have been working on, and there is a big apple tree, and they have started making their own apple juice from it," Roman told Express.co.uk regarding the family farm. "My mum gave [Princess Kate] a crate of this apple juice they made, and she obviously took it home."

The "obviously" is because, to his family's delight, a request quickly came in for more on behalf of one of the youngest royals:

"Because the next time I saw her, she was like, 'Oh my God! Please can you say thank you to your mum. We need some more of that apple juice because George is obsessed with it. He keeps saying, 'Mum, I want the apple juice.' So Kate and my mum have been trading that apple juice."

Kate, however, isn't leaving the Kemps empty-handed—according to Roman, she sends the Kemps her own homemade honey.
