Little Dog's Precious JCPenney Holiday Photoshoot Will Convince Anyone to Do One

As the holiday season finally sets in, more and more people are sending out festive photos to celebrate. Whether it's a good old Christmas card or an Instagram post to share with your family and friends, you really can't go wrong with taking a nice picture to commemorate the season. Your friends and family will appreciate it just as much as you will!

Many pet parents are taking this to the next level, naturally, by including furry friends in holiday photographs. And why wouldn't you? Pets are members of the family, after all, and there's no reason not to include them during important moments--like holidays! Not only will your fur baby feel more included, but you'll also have some special pictures that will last a lifetime.

That's why I think it's genius to set up a small holiday photoshoot with your pet--or in dog owner Jackie's case--of your pet! On December 3, she made an appointment with the JCPenney photo center to commemorate the holiday season with her little dog, Ralphie, and the result couldn't have been any cuter. Take a look!

Aww! Ralphie is such a cute little guy; it's no surprise that he was the star of the show from the moment he stepped foot in JCPenney. The other customers stopped to say hello, as any dog lover would, but I love how the photographer made sure to strategize and be patient in order to get the perfect pictures.

As many dog and cat owners know--it can be difficult to take a good picture of a pet! Ralphie made the job easy by being a food motivated-dog and following his mom's direction (and the yummy dog treat), but Jackie gets major kudos, too. Practicing basic obedience training with a dog is a great way to get them ready for a photoshoot, and she made it happen with Ralphie! He looked incredibly dapper in his doggie holiday sweater, and she was ready to capture the moment.

How to Make the Most of Photoshoots With Your Dogs

Little accessories and tools like dog sweaters and photo backdrops can make a world of difference when taking pictures of a dog. Don't forget to think outside of the box if you can't get to a photo studio in time for the holiday season, too! Even a phone can take a card-worthy picture, so the hardest part will be enticing your pup to pose and stay still!

With a few treats and some patience, though, you and your furry friend will figure it out. Just take it from @goodboyralphh--being an adorable dog is half of the work!
