It’s no secret that Chick-fil-A has mastered the art of chicken, which is why it has one of the best fast food chicken sandwiches on the market. But despite its new menu innovations, like the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich and the Maple Pepper Bacon Sandwich, the restaurant has never really ventured outside of chicken…Until now.

Chick-fil-A’s new restaurant concept, Little Blue Menu, is changing everything we know about Chick-fil-A and its "Eat Mor Chikin" menu.

You may recall Chick-fil-A launched a food truck earlier this year that was parked around Kentucky for most of the summer. That food truck was a Little Blue Menu, Chick-fil-A’s mobile order-only kitchen, on wheels. It served the typical chicken sandwich and waffle fries from the Chick-fil-A menu, but it also served a brand-new item: chicken wings.

After the Little Blue Menu food truck’s success, Chick-fil-A has announced it's bringing the concept to a real-live restaurant in College Park, Maryland. And it’s coming with exclusive new menu items.

What Is Chick-fil-A’s Little Blue Kitchen?

Chick-fil-A’s Little Blue Menu is a restaurant concept that started in 2021 in Nashville. It was inspired by Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy’s original restaurant, The Dwarf Grill, which had a blue menu board that was constantly changing for customers to taste test new and innovative products—and it’s actually how the OG chicken sandwich was born.

College Park’s Little Blue Menu restaurant will serve the full Chick-fil-A menu; however, in true Cathy fashion, it will have a secondary, ever-changing menu based on customer feedback. That menu will feature things like chicken wings, burgers, Spicy Chick-n-Strips, Brussels sprouts, and more.

“As customers have shared their honest opinions about the concept, we have had the opportunity to tweak or add new menu items,” Kanika Patrick, who leads marketing for Little Blue Menu, said.

The Little Blue Menu is an online-only kitchen, meaning you’ll have to order through the Chick-fil-A app or site if you want to try the unique menu items—but it sounds like these new menu items are worth signing up for the free Chick-fil-A rewards program.

Obviously, the biggest catch is that Little Blue Menu is only available at one location in Maryland. However, we hope if the virtual kitchen continues to do well, Chick-fil-A will bring the concept to more restaurants—or maybe bring some Little Blue Menu items to the real Chick-fil-A menu. Because who wouldn’t want Spicy Chick-n-Strips?
