Taylor Swift is back with another new release. The singer dropped a new single, "Call It What You Want" at midnight, less than a day after she first teased it on social media.

The singer teased the track with a cryptic hint of the lyrics on Instagram. The first read, "But would you run away with me?' ...'Yes.'"

And one that followed said,"Holding my breath / Slowly I said / "You don't need to sav me."

The teasers, though brief, were enough to send Swifties into a craze. Some fans even deciphered the first lyric and theorized that it parallels the Romeo and Juliet-inspired chorus of her 2008 "Love Story."

If that's true, it appears Swift wants us to know she's undergone a transformation from a damsel in distress to someone who doesn't need to be saved. (The "Old Taylor" is "dead," after all.)

"Call It What You Want" is the latest of Swift's recent singles, following "Gorgeous," which just released two weeks ago. (Fans are speculating that it's about her new boyfriend, Joe Alwyn.) Plus, there's her bombshell comeback, "Look What You Made Me Do," which dropped in August, and her follow-up, "...Ready for It?" in September. She just dropped the mind-blowing music video for that track last week.

Swift continues to gear up for the release of her upcoming album, Reputation, which is due November 11. She's already got her first live performance of the album all set, with an appearance scheduled for December 2.
