New details have confirmed the cause of Lisa Marie Presley's unexpected death in January.

On July 13, E! News obtained the late singer's records from the County of Los Angeles Medical-Examiner, which revealed that Elvis Presley's only child died from complications caused from small bowel obstruction.

The records also indicated that her passing was a natural one.

NBC News also obtained the autopsy report and noted that the document said Lisa Marie had "a strangulated small bowel," which was caused by "adhesions" that followed a past bariatric surgery.

The news comes six months after her death, which took place on January 12, 2023. She was only 54 years old.

Her mother, Priscilla Presley, confirmed the news at the time, sharing in a statement to People, "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us."

"She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known," Elvis' ex continued. "We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers."

Lisa Marie left behind daughter Riley Keough, 34, and twins Finley Lockwood and Harper Lockwood, 14.

Her son Benjamin Keough died by suicide at age 27 in July 2020.

The months following Lisa Marie's death have been trying for her loved ones, who had conflict over her estate. Specifically, Riley and Priscilla disputed over who should oversee the late singer's assets, which included Elvis' beloved Graceland mansion and a stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises.

While Riley was set to take control of the trust, Priscilla legally questioned the decision, calling out the validity of a 2016 addendum, which favored the Daisy Jones & the Six star and removed herself as a co-trustee.

However, by May, the rock 'n' roll family settled the dispute, which confirmed that Riley would be the sole trustee of the estate, as well as the trustee for her twin sisters' sub-trust.

According to People, Priscilla received a lump sum payment and remained the trustee of Lisa Marie’s half-brother Navarone Garibaldi's sub trust, which contains 1/9 of the deceased star's trust.

Priscilla's lawyer, Ronsen Shamoon, said of the agreement, "Everyone is happy, unified together, and excited for the future."
