Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa

Lisa Bonet is ready to officially split from ex Jason Momoa, filing for divorce around two years after they first announced their separation in January 2022.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, Bonet filed for divorce, citing their date of separation as Oct. 7, 2020, which was over a year before they publicly shared their split.

The couple shares two children, Lola, 16, and Nakoa-Wolf, 15, and Bonet is reportedly requesting total joint custody. Along with Momoa's biological kids with Bonet, he is also stepfather to Zoë Kravitz, Bonet and Lenny Kravitz's daughter.

Neither Bonet nor Momoa is asking for spousal support, with the documents saying that their split assets are "agreed between the parties," signifying the possibility of a prenup.

When the two announced their split in 2022, Bonet and Momoa shared a joint statement on social media that has since been deleted, saying, "We are parting ways in marriage."

"The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other ~to be who we are learning to become… Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our Children Teaching our Children What’s possible ~ Living the Prayer May Love Prevail," the statement went on.

The Aquaman actor and Bonet reportedly first met at a jazz club in 2005 and started dating soon after. They had their two kids in 2007 and 2008, getting married years later in October 2017. At the time of their official separation, as listed in the court documents, they had been married for around three years.

As of writing, neither Bonet nor Momoa has shared a public statement about the divorce filing.
