Usually it's her violet eyes that come to mind when thinking of the brunette beauty, but Liz was actually all about drawing attention to her lips.
In an interview with Southern Living, Elizabeth's granddaughter, Eliza Carson, revealed, "I remember her always having face cream by her nightstand, along with several lip glosses, a comb, and small mirror at all times within arm's reach." While face cream, a comb, and even a mirror sound like items we would expect to see on any woman's nightstand, the detail about lip glosses definitely stands out. Why did she need lip gloss so close to her while she slept, and several of them at that?
According to Eliza, this quirky detail is simply a testament to her grandmother's deep love of lip gloss and how important it was to her overall beauty routine. Eliza explained, "If my grandmother could only have two things getting ready, it would definitely be lip gloss and earrings!"
Eliza is not the only one who was aware of Elizabeth's obsession with lip gloss and shiny lips. Her personal assistant, Tim Mendelson, explained in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that having moist lips was very important to the star. "She loved a shined lip," he said. According to Mendelson, her favorite brands included luxurious names like Dior, Chanel, and YSL.
