Lionsgate is keen on keeping Keanu Reeves around for the John Wick franchise, regardless of the extent of his involvement.

Group Chair Joe Drake revealed the news to Deadline shortly after the premiere of John Wick: Chapter 4, which many consider as the finale for Reeves' character. “We’re not ready to say goodbye to Keanu with this franchise. It’s what alternative there will be," he said. Although the actor himself confirmed that he will be appearing in the John Wick spinoff The Ballerina (starring Ana de Armas), the Lionsgate exec is anticipating more stories from John Wick in the franchise's main storyline.

“There’s a lot of different things that we can do," Drake added. “I’ve seen this movie five times in the last week. I can see the way that the audience moves him.”

Chapter 4 earned a franchise-record opening weekend with $73.5 million USD in the domestic box office and $137.5 million worldwide, becoming Reeves' second-best global opening behind The Matrix Revolution.
