Lindsey Vonn became an instant celebrity when she won an Olympic gold medal in 2010 for downhill ski racing. But, she now says that came with some body image issues.

Lindsey opened up about the experience when she appeared on the TB12's The Keep Going Podcast. "While it may seem like I've always been comfortable with who I am, I definitely have not always felt that," the Olympic skier said. "I had a hard time after I won the Olympics because I was taken outside my ski bubble and put in this entertainment and celebrity bubble and around people that were half my size."

Lindsey said she remembers thinking, "I was like, 'Am I supposed to look like this?' I had never compared myself really to others."

After spending years in the spotlight—and racking up two more Olympic medals in the process—Lindsey said she only recently learned to have a positive body image, saying she once "had a really hard time" with it.

"In the last couple years I've figured it out. I am who I am," she said. "I feel like I've never conformed my personality or my style but for positive body image, I definitely struggled with that."

Lindsey went on to say that she’s not perfect, and she’s okay with that. "I have cellulite; I have stretch marks. I work out every single day, and I still have all those things and they're not going away," she said. "So it's like, this is me, take it or leave it."

Lindsey recently told the New York Post that she’s had to deal with a lot of body shaming since becoming famous. "A lot of people have said, 'You shouldn't wear things like that. It doesn't look good on your body type.' Or 'you're too muscular for that,'" she recalled to the publication.

And, even though she’s now retired from competitive skiing and her physique has changed, Lindsey said she still gets comments about her body. "I'm a lot leaner. I used to do things that were so sport-specific, so I had to be bigger," she explained. "But everyone is like, 'Oh my God, you're in the best shape of your life.'" However, Lindsey said that’s not entirely true: "I'm not training for my sport anymore. I am training to be lean and fit."

Speaking of training, Lindsey just dropped the cutest Instagram video that featured herself working out alongside her buddy, supermodel Ashley Graham, set to Saweetie’s "Best Friend." "That’s my best friend 💪🏻💃🏼❤️@ashleygraham @gunnarfitness," she wrote in the caption.
