Lindsey Vonn Always Has Her Hand On Fiancé P.K. Subban–And That’s A Good Thing

Here’s some advice: If you’re going to shoot your shot, don’t hold back. It worked for P.K. Subban. When the hockey player first met his now-fiancée Lindsey Vonn at the 2017 ESPY Awards, he declared (on national television no less), “it’s hot out here, but not as hot as Lindsey Vonn.” And it worked.

Cut to two years later when the couple got engaged twice. The first time, P.K. popped the question and then, that following Christmas, Lindsey presented P.K. with an engagement ring of his own and asked him to marry her.

Because of the pandemic, plans for their 2020 wedding have been put on hold until their families can safely come together for a ceremony. But until then, the couple’s been keeping things light in lockdown. It’s what Lindsey’s always appreciated about her relationship with P.K. “I have depression and he always finds a way to brighten my day,” she told Us Weekly. “No matter what it is, whether it’s just making me laugh and smile, or bringing me flowers or doing something stupid which always gets me to laugh anyways.”

It’s this kind of playfulness that convinced Lindsey that P.K. was only pranking her when he proposed. “I thought he was totally kidding—because, like, he’s a jokester. Sometimes it’s hard to tell whether he’s being serious or not," she told Graham Bensinger.
