Lindsay Lohan Revealed She Cried When Her Son Luai Watched One of Her Most Iconic Films

Something longtime fans have been dying to know is: will Lindsay Lohan show her son Luai some of her most iconic films? We know he’s not even a year old, but it’s been on so many people’s minds ever since she and her husband, Bader Shammas, announced they welcomed a baby boy. And on Lohan’s recent appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show, she finally revealed that her son has already seen one of her most beloved films.

During her interview, Lohan revealed she caught her son Luai watching the 1998 film, The Parent Trap, a movie where she plays twins Annie and Hallie, who were separated at birth and try to make their parents fall in love again.

“I just wrapped a movie four days ago and I came home from work and my son was getting ready for dinner time. And I opened the door and he was watching The Parent Trap. It was just on the TV,” she said to Barrymore. “And I started crying because I’m like, he doesn’t even know that’s mummy yet. I was like, do I turn it off or do I just… he was kind of just staring. Because maybe, my voice is still similar to how it was then. So I was like, maybe he knows, like a little bit that it’s me because it sounds like me.”

She added, “But it was a really magical moment. I took tons of pictures of it.”

Isn’t that the most heartwarming thing ever? We can’t even imagine the emotions going through Lohan, and we adore that this became a core memory for her.

For those who don’t know, Lohan and financial guru Shammas started dating in 2018, keeping a seriously low profile. They got engaged in Nov 2021 before eloping in July 2022. While their relationship is so private, Lohan doesn’t miss an opportunity to gush about him.

Then in July 2023, she and Shammas welcomed a son named Luai.

These celebrities overcame their childhood trauma to be better parents to their own children.
