Lindsay Lohan Plans to Be Honest With Her Son Luai About Her Troubled Past

The “Lohanissance” is upon us (just ask anyone on Twitter), and we are so here for it. Lindsay Lohan is more glamorous than ever with a new movie coming out, a 7-month-old baby boy, and a stunning fashion sense, and every appearance she makes you can tell she is glowing with happiness. It wasn’t always this way though. Like many former child stars, the Mean Girls alum had a troubled past — and she plans on telling her son Luai all about it when he gets older.

For those who don’t remember, The Parent Trap alum was struggled with drugs and alcohol, appearing in court more than 20 times from 2007-2012, per Us Weekly, where she was constantly hounded by paparazzi.

Lohan told Piers Morgan in 2013, per Us, “I got arrested for my first DUI when I was 20 and they found me with drugs. And from then on the press were on me all the time. It was the first time I’d taken drugs; I was out in a club with people I shouldn’t have been with, and took cocaine, and got in the car. It was so stupid.”

“I believe things happen for a reason,” she added. ”I live without regrets. There are certain things I have done, mistakes that I made, that I would change, but I don’t regret them at all, because I’ve learned from them.”

She took a break from the public eye, eventually making her return to acting in the 2022 Netflix rom-com Falling for Christmas. She married husband Badar Shammas the same year, and welcomed baby Luai in July 2023.

The “Rumors” singer appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, sharing that she barely even remembers life before Luai was born. “He’s, like, my world,” she said. “You forget about what life was before you have the baby. And the baby makes sure of that,” she joked.

At the Irish Wish premiere, Lohan honored her baby boy by wearing a gold necklace with his name on the front. At the event, she told Page Six that motherhood is “everything and more.”
