Lin-Manuel Miranda just reminded everyone that he was in the Sex and the City movie, and Twitter is losing it

Lin-Manuel Miranda just tweeted a photo of his cameo in the "Sex and the City" movie, and Twitter can't believe it. See the picture here.

Every once in a while, pop culture worlds collide and fandom pandemonium ensues. That’s what happened recently when the internet found out that Lin-Manuel Miranda was in the 2008 Sex and the City movie. You might be wondering how in the world you missed that. But don’t doubt your SATC knowledge too much, because Miranda’s cameo is SO easy to miss.

On Thursday, May 31st, Miranda shared a picture of himself in the Sex and the City movie on Twitter. And sure enough, he shows up in the background moving a couch. Everyone who has ever either moved a couch or watched Friends knows that it’s a two person job, though, so Miranda is joined by another guy in the photo. It turns out the couch-moving friend was none other than Tommy Kail, the director of Miranda’s Broadway musicals In the Heights and Hamilton.

“Never forget that Tommy Kail and I can be seen moving a couch in the first Sex And The City Movie (When @CynthiaNixon was the famousest Miranda (she still is)),” Miranda wrote on Twitter.

This amazing reveal comes at the perfect time for the 20th anniversary of the first episode of Sex and the City on HBO, which falls on June 6th. Not only that, but the Hamilton creator happened to post the picture from the movie just one day after its 10-year anniversary, which fell on May 30th.

Twitter has so many questions about Miranda’s cameo. How did it come about?!

The Hamilton star usually shares all of his secrets on Twitter when asked. But despite fans searching for answers, he’s actually kept quiet about how the SATC scene came about. What if he and Kail were just moving a couch IRL, and they put it in the movie?! We wouldn’t be surprised if Miranda just so happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Everyone on Twitter couldn’t help but make the same Friends joke about the couch pic. Because really, how could you resist?

Mostly though, people just had questions. So. Many. Questions.

The people want to know, LMM!

For now, many of our questions remain unanswered. One thing is clear though, and it’s that Lin-Manuel Miranda needs to have a part in Sex and the City 3 — if it ever happens, that is.
