Lily James looks unrecognisable in new goth Versace pics

Lily James is a total fashion chameleon. From her Disney princess days as Cinderella and countless ethereal red carpet gowns, all the way through to her cutout dresses and very 2000s wardrobe while channeling Pamela Anderson - there's nothing she can't wear. Now, Lily's just sported another completely different ~aesthetic~ and, well, she looks unrecognisable.
Overnight, the 33-year-old revealed her latest fashion project, starring in Versace's new season campaign pics. Now, Versace is typically associated with bombshell naked dresses and sequin numbers. For their latest campaign, though, it's a verrrry different mood. In the snaps, Lily rocks a high fashion goth-inspired look. The sleeveless black dress features corset-style boning across the bodice, teamed with matching elbow-length latex gloves. As for hair and makeup, she reps a sleek black 'do featuring a blunt fringe, teamed with a dark brown lip. Safe to say, Lily looks absolutely fierce.
"Thank you @donatella_versace for setting me free with your Greca Goddess bag," writes Lily alongside the pics shared on her own Instagram account. "In Italy. In @versace . I live for this. Love you. @mertalas and @macpiggott unbelievable to work with you. Doesn’t get any better then [sic] this 🖤"
Donatella responded in the comments, writing "You are perfection! 🖤 absolutely STUNNING ✨". And we couldn't agree morw.
But Versace wasn't the only famous name spotted in the comments, no sir. Lily Collins noted "😍😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥 yes girl!", and Lashana Lynch wrote "YOU WHAT?!! 🔥🔥🔥". Meanwhile, Gemma Chan summed it up perfectly with these emojis: "🔥🔥🔥". And Poppy Delevingne kept it short and sweet with, "Oh LILS. 🔥"
Donatella shared even more BTS campaign pics of Lily's on her own account, including a very moody romantic red dress, with an equally-effusive caption:
"When @lilyjamesofficial got in front of the camera she transformed! Wearing the collection unlocked her own personal attitude and she took on a new energy and power. That’s exactly how you should feel when wearing Versace! Here are some behind-the-scenes images from when we shot the campaign in the most incredible location in Rome 🇮🇹✨"
Yup, we love a fashion shake-up and this more than fits the bill.
