Lily Collins Wore a Daring See-Through Lace Outfit and 'Emily in Paris' Fans Are Stunned

With season 3 of Emily in Paris out now on Netflix, folks are tuning into the dramedy to see all the unique fashion choices Lily Collins' character Emily Cooper wears. It looks like the actress is taking a page from fiction, as she has been drawing attention for her own daring outfits.

Back in October, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones star walked the red carpet of the 2nd annual Academy Museum gala in Los Angeles. With husband Charlie McDowell by her side, she caused everyone to stop and stare, thanks to her multi-printed gown. The top part featured a long-sleeve lace shirt with a black bralette underneath. The bottom half was comprised of a colorful skirt with a bow wrapping around the waist. The floor-length skirt also had a high slit, which she paired with sheer black tights.

Since the outfit mixed patterns and textures, Lily chose to keep everything else relatively simple. She didn't have on much jewelry, other than her wedding rings and a pair of dangling earrings. Her long brunette hair was styled into a chic bun with bangs and framing pieces surrounding her face. She tied it all together with classic black eyeliner, rosy cheeks and a barely-there lip color.

When the To the Bone cast member posted pictures on Instagram, her followers immediately took to the comments section with strong reactions to her latest fashion moment.

"That has got to be one of the most stunningly gorgeous dresses I’ve ever seen! And of course, you look beyond fabulous 💓💕," one person wrote. "Wow so so pretty, the dress looks so amazing!! You’re shining like always Lily ❤️," a different fan added. "What a beautiful outfit 😍," another user noted.

Essentially, Lily knows how to make a fashion statement — even when she isn't appearing on-screen. What's more, she's been known to be bold with her red carpet looks over the last few years. Back in December 2020, she shocked her fans when she wore a black latex dress to the MTV Movie and TV Awards: Greatest of All Time event.

In other words, we need to watch out for whatever outfit Lily chooses to wear next.
