Lili Reinhart didn't attend the Met Gala this year. But she still kept up with the news surrounding Monday night's red carpet, and she did not like what she saw. Specifically Kim Kardashian's damaging comments about crash dieting ahead of the event.

Kim revealed that she lost 16 pounds in three weeks in order to fit into Marilyn Monroe's dress that the icon wore for JFK's 1962 birthday party.

"I'm starving," Kim later said after the Met Gala while showing off the donuts and pizza waiting for her in her room.

Obviously, Kim's comments drew a lot of rightful backlash and sparked conversations about how physically and psychologically dangerous it is to promote extreme diets — something so toxic and textbook unhealthy. And Lili agrees with that criticism.

"So wrong. So fucked on 100s of levels," wrote the Riverdale actor, who's spoken before about struggling with body image and condemned the ways sexist societal standards, not to mention Hollywood at large, contribute to those personal challenges.

"To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala," she continued. "When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word."

"To walk on a red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are ... because you haven't eaten carbs in the last month ... all to fit in a fucking dress?"

"The ignorance is other-worldly and disgusting," Lili added. "Please stop supporting these stupid, harmful celebrities whose entire image revolves around their bodies."

The actor then reiterated thoughts she's shared previously about the industry's toxic "beauty" standards. "I am not generally an angry person but I swear to god, the toxicity of this industry sometimes really gets to me," Lili said. "And I have to do my little Instagram-story rants to release my rage."

Lili's take on this was spot-on. As of this morning, Kim has yet to acknowledge or address any responses to her comments about dieting.
