Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart was among the many to learn yesterday that some fans not exactly satisfied with Game of Thrones' writing this season have signed a Change.org petition for the series to be remade with "competent writers." That petition has gone viral and currently has 778,600+ signatures.

"[Showrunners] David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on," the petition reads. "This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!"

Reinhart was not into the petition at all and made it clear in an Instagram comment she posted on Variety's page that fans doing this need to chill and manage their expectations. Variety had teased the story on its page, writing, "A petition by an angry fan demanding that HBO remake the final season of Game of Thrones has now been signed by more than 450,000 people." That number, of course, has nearly doubled in the time since Variety posted that Instagram.

"This is not how television works..." Reinhart started in her comment. "It's ridiculous of people to think they can demand creative change from artists."

Reinhart is far from the first person to comment on fans dragging the season. Game of Thrones star Jon Snow told Esquire in April-after only the premiere had aired-that critics need to suck it up. "I think no matter what anyone thinks about this season-and I don't mean to sound mean about critics here-but whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their negative judgement on it, in my head they can go fuck themselves," he said.
