Lili Reinhart Was Fooled on Instagram by a Fellow Actress Doppelgänger in a Movie With Kit Harington

Have you heard the theory that everyone in the world has a twin? Back in 2015, a group created the Twin Strangers project to unite people around the world who weren’t related, but who looked very, very similar. Well, Lili Reinhart may have just found her twin stranger, in the form of a “twin” who just so happens to be an actress too.

Lili shared a screenshot of the actress in question to her Instagram Story recently, writing, “Saw this on my [Instagram] Explore page and thought it was me??” Um, same. The pic was originally shared by a Kit Harington fan account and is promo for the movie The Death and Life of John F. Donovan, and it definitely looks like Lili sitting opposite the Game of Thrones actor.

A bit of quick investigation reveals that no, the blonde in question is not Lili, and she didn’t make a movie during a bout of amnesia. The actress in the pic with Kit is Canadian actress Sarah Gadon, whose credits include the iconic ’90s TV show Are You Afraid of the Dark? and season three of True Detective. She’s a few years older than Lili, so they’re not actually long-lost twins, and a quick Google Image search reveals she looks a lot like the Riverdale star, but not exactly — maybe a cousin or a half sister. It’s all in the angle!

Lili look-alikes seem to be a bit of a phenomenon in themselves; we’ve seen her compared to a few different people before. In 2018, after her appearance at the Met Gala, fans couldn’t help noticing her resemblance to the late actress Brittany Murphy and creating side-by-side images of the two actresses. And in 2017, Cole Sprouse shared a throwback pic of himself and brother Dylan with a young fan who looked suspiciously like Lili, but was actually a college student named Anna-Laura who had her pic snapped with the Sprouse twins back in the day.

Have you found your twin stranger — even via Instagram? It seems like Lili’s come pretty close a few times, and according to the rules of the internet, we think there’s only one thing left for her to do: Set up a meeting with Sarah, take a few pics, post them, and blow everyone’s minds.
