Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Joked About the Blood Moon on Instagram
The much anticipated Blood Moon lunar eclipse that happened on Friday, July 27, didn't bring about any unexpected happenings (that we know of, at least), but Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart were ready for the end of the world, just in case.
The Riverdale stars and rumored IRL couple spent Friday's Blood Moon together, and chronicled their adventures awaiting the moon's majestic appearance via Instagram Stories.
Lili gave 'gram followers a BTS look at the evening of moon-watching, beginning with a photo that had the pair seated next to one another. "If the world really is gonna end tonight then I'm happy it's with my best bud," Lili captioned the photo. She continued sharing snaps, posting another caption on a photo of the pair seated in the dark. "Trying to squeeze in some great conversation on our last night on this planet — am I right Cole? Lolol. #bffs."
The adorable 'grams continued, with Lili (who could be an Instagram comedian TBH) sharing a selfie of her looking up at a seemingly exasperated Cole. "Asked him to tell me all the things he loves about me. He's been silent for 30 minutes. Awww he must be thinking really deeply." Although followers never did find out what Cole loves about Lili, the hilarious stories kept coming. In additional posts, Cole joked that Lili would be the "first off his list" in a potential purge and he also refused to engage in a high-five with his Riverdale co-star. Lili later shared a peek of Cole — AKA her "best bud" — play video games.
Their night of Blood Moon fun ended with Lili announcing that Cole had kicked her out of his trailer. Naturally, she had a theory for why he wanted the solo company, writing: "He doesn't want me to see him cry over the fact that the world is ending, and he will miss me so much."
Thankfully, the world appears to have continued on as normal, and with Riverdale back to filming there is hope that we might get another BTS Instagram adventure with the pair soon. Maybe they should tackle the effect of Mars in retrograde next.
