Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Break Their Silence Following Reports of Their Breakup

Finally, days after the initial reports that Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse have broken up, the actors are speaking out.

The Riverdale couple joined together to cover W Magazine's August issue, adopting a creepy, film noir aesthetic for the shoot. Despite the joint cover, however, the two opted to partake in separate interviews. This is a suspicious decision considering the rumors obviously, and in the article, the author comments on the breakup, saying "two months later the two would part ways romantically," and that their choice to conduct separate interviews, "might have been connected to the two of them being uncertain about their future together."

Despite the article's sentiment that their cover stars are, in fact, broken up, Lili and Cole took the cover as an opportunity to finally address the breakup rumors and vehemently deny them.

"BREAKING: A reliable source has confirmed that none of you know sh*t," Lili captioned her Instagram promoting the cover, begging the question: Did Lili actually read the feature? Because if she did, she would know that the "reliable source" she is referring to confirmed the breakup.

Cole added his own voice to the narrative, captioning his Instagram of the cover, "UNPRECEDENTED: Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart consume the flesh of ‘reliable sources’ to fuel their bacchanalian sex cult."

If anything, this proves that the two are on good enough terms to come up with these captions together, as they obviously share a similar style. But again, the comments are weird considering they are promoting a magazine that seems confirms their breakup.

I guess we just have to take their word for it and, unless we hear different, assume that Sprousehart is very much still alive and well.
