Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes Match in Black Lace at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards

Camila Mendes and Lili Reinhart play iconic besties Betty and Veronica on Riverdale, and the BFF vibes totally translate IRL too. The duo is as close as the CW’s blonde and brunette, and their bond was obvious in their adorable coordinating looks for the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards.

Lili hit the red carpet in a very Betty Cooper black ruffled tulle tea-length dress with spaghetti straps, and accessorized it with nude sandals and a pink satin bag. Betty’s trademark ponytail was nowhere in sight; Lili opted to wear her shoulder-length blonde hair down and slightly tousled, giving the look an easy, lived-in elegance. We think “Dark Betty” would totally dig this vintage-inspired look too — it feels like a nod to both sides of the character.

Camila also wore a black dress, though her gown of choice was more detailed than Lili’s. It had a bodice with sheer black lace panels and a skirt painted with what looks like birds in flight — a totally daring and unique look that was definitely out of the box for the polished Veronica Lodge. Cami wore her hair half-up and accentuated her face with some simple long, dangling silver earrings. We love how both actresses stayed true to their personal style, while playing off each other’s looks.

The actresses had a reason to bring it on the red carpet; Riverdale is nominated several times, for Scene Stealer, Best Show, and Best Kiss for Camila and KJ Apa.

The show doesn’t premiere until June 18 at 9/8c on MTV, so we’ll have to wait and see if they take home any of that beloved golden popcorn. But no matter what, we know B and V would be proud of Lili and Cami’s killer style.
