Rapper Lil Wayne took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his disdain for the Lakers after claiming he was mistreated at Thursday night’s game.

“Wow! Got treated like s--t at the Laker game just now, but I figured they’d do me that sooner or later either bc of what I said (about Anthony Davis),” Wayne raged, “or simply bc they don’t fwm which I got that vibe from em as well.”

Wayne concluded: “F--k em. It isn’t what it isn’t. I’m used to it.”

Wayne’s reference to Davis stems from remarks he made on a November 2023 episode of Undisputed. Though he began the interview unambiguously voicing his love for the Los Angeles team, Wayne went on to say, “If you ask me, if the Lakers want to be a championship team and in the future as well, you gotta get rid of AD.”

Asked why he felt that way, Wayne shot back: “Because he’s AD, plain and simple…Get rid of him and get some good players,” he continued. “We don’t even need a superstar. We got Lebron over there.”

But in another Undisputed appearance in February, Wayne had seemingly changed his opinion on Davis. He told the panel he didn’t think there was another player who could “replace what he can do…There’s nobody out there like that.”

Wayne’s mea culpa seemingly fell on deaf ears, though. It’s unclear what exactly went down at Thursday night’s game between Wayne and the team. The Lakers organization has yet to comment on the rapper's claims.
