Lil Nas X Brings the Unlikeliest Accessory to the AMAs 2019 Red Carpet

Lil Nas X is never one to shy away from a bold fashion moment. The “Old Town Road” singer has worn everything from ruffles and sequins to plenty of yeehaw style looks. Tonight, the rapper kept his winning style streak going: he hit the red carpet at the 2019 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, where he’s nominated for awards such as New Artist of the Year and Favorite Music Video. For the occasion, he chose a flashy design from Christopher John Rogers, this year’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner, that included an unlikely accessory.
The star suited up in a two-piece tuxedo that was anything but conventional. In a bright neon green, Lil Nas X looked dapper, styling his cropped jacket with a bold zebra-print top underneath. His statement accessory to go with it, though? That would be matching wild opera gloves. (Beyoncé wore gloves with a suit this week, too—looks like it’s shaping up to be an unexpected trend.) To give his ensemble even more kick, the rapper then finished it off with bright square-toe heels by United Nude and dainty jewelry by Sophia Brand. Consider him the night’s most successful risk taker.

With free agency and the draft behind us, what 32 teams look like today will likely be what they look like Week 1 and beyond for the 2024 season. Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski reveal the post-draft fantasy power rankings. The duo break down the rankings in six tiers: Elite offensive ecosystems, teams on the cusp of being complete mixed bag ecosystems, offensive ecosystems with something to prove, offenses that could go either way, and offenses that are best to stay away from in fantasy.
It’s key to note that we’re not saying the “best team” or “best roster.” Instead, we’re talking about the best confluence of factors that can outline a path for survival and then success.
