Life's a picnic: Family-friendly afternoon in Palm Beach benefits 2024 Women Build

There's not a whole lot of places with a demographic that can enjoy a daylong picnic in the sun.

On a weekday.

In February.

Palm Beach is one of them.

The inaugural Palm Beach Picnic, a benefit for Habitat for Humanity's 2024 Women Build, took place Feb.10 in the Royal Poinciana Plaza's West Garden.

Collin Adams and Farrah Scott were chairman and chairwoman for the afternoon, which included signature cocktails, picnic fare, line portraiture, garden games, and music by DJ Adam Lipson.

“I am honored to have co-chaired the first Palm Beach Picnic for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County" said Scott, "a charity that not only builds homes but also builds a stronger community.“

“Co-chairing the inaugural Palm Beach Picnic is an absolute honor," Adams said. "The extraordinary amount of support is a true testament to the philanthropic nature that Palm Beach is known for around the world. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County builds homes, communities, and hope. This is not only admirable but also necessary for a better tomorrow and generations to come.”

Lori Berg was honorary chairwoman for the Palm Beach Picnic, which also included a fashion show featuring clothing, accessories and home goods carried by the Royal Poinciana Plaza's retail tenants.

More than 200 people attended.

Proceeds from the afternoon benefit Habitat For Humanity of Palm Beach County's 2024 Women Build, an annual event that supports Habitat’s affordable home-building efforts while bringing together and empowering women across Palm Beach County.

Participants build alongside Habitat partner families, corporate sponsors, and community members for a large-scale, build experience.

Women Build 2024 took March 14-15.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach County is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to bring people together to build safe, decent, and affordable housing in Palm Beach County.
