Back in 1919, Americans drove their Model T's to see silent movies and dealt with new-fangled inventions toasters and zippers. It's safe to say <em>a lot </em>has changed since then.</p>

The Eiffel Tower was the tallest structure on Earth.

"Teenagers" didn't exist.

Woodrow Wilson was president.

The "Great War" had just ended.

There was no NFL.

Kids played with Raggedy Ann and Lincoln Logs.

People were reading L. Frank Baum.

Mary Pickford was the picture of beauty.

Molasses made headlines.

People took street cars to get around.

Groceries were a lot cheaper (kinda).

Model T's were the most popular car.

The World Series was a scam.

Alcohol was officially illegal.

People spent a lot more on clothes.

The movies were silent.

Irving Berlin dominated the radio.

"Arts and Crafts" decor reigned supreme.

Women still couldn't vote.

Minimum wage didn't exist.

People ordered homes out of catalogs.

Modern conveniences included toasters and zippers.

Mass-produced foods were a new thing.

Dating replaced courtship.

Cubism and Dadaism founded modern art.

GH still dispensed advice.

A dollar went a whole lot farther.
