Life in public can be tricky for Love Is Blind stars, who are suddenly thrust into the spotlight when the show premieres.

Season six favorite Jessica Vestal shared that she ended up avoiding the gym because of social anxiety—and she lost weight as a result.

"Slowly getting back into my normal routine + the gym," Jessica wrote in her Instagram Story on Tuesday. "My social anxiety was so bad after lib premiered, I basically stopped going and lost 8lbs."

As you might remember, Jessica is a single mother who formed an early connection with Jimmy Presnell. He ended up turning her down to choose his now-ex fiancée Chelsea Blackwell, and Jessica’s response to the news was everything: She told Jimmy that he was going to “choke” when he saw her in real life. (And he kind of did.) Jimmy ended up reaching out to Jessica on social media after his post-engagement vacation with Chelsea, and still ended up alone.

Despite all of the attention on her, Jessica said that she wanted to get back into a fitness routine to help manage her symptoms from Crohn’s disease, which is a chronic disease that causes inflammation and irritation in your digestive tract. Symptoms of Crohn’s disease can include diarrhea, cramping, pain in your abdomen, and weight loss, according to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK).

"Staying active/weightlifting was an integral part in achieving remission with Crohn's disease," Jessica explained. "I'm more prone to getting sick and having flare ups if I don't keep weight on, so while it may sound nice to some, it is detrimental for me to have lost weight."

So, Jessica said, she’s “steadily trying to get back on track."

Jessica later shared that she told trainer Ashlee Ryan that she “wanted to be nearly crawling” out of her gym after working out, adding, “she doesn’t disappoint (truly never does.”

Congrats on focusing on your health, and making moves to stay healthy, Jessica!
