Liam Hemsworth's Family 'Approves' of His New Girlfriend Gabriella Brooks

Those photos that came out of Liam Hemsworth introducing 21-year-old model Gabriella Brooks to his parents Craig and Leonie Hemsworth were indeed a major moment in their relationship, captured by the paps. Us Weekly reports that Hemsworth has been seeing Brooks, and she has his family's stamp of approval.

“Liam feels comfortable with Gabriella,” a source said. “His family approves of her and really likes her, which is very important to him.” What happened to him and Maddison Brown, the Dynasty actress he was seen making out with in New York City this October? They fizzled out, but they were never really going to be a longterm thing.

“Liam and Maddison weren’t that serious and were mainly having fun together,” the outlet's source said. Both Brooks and Brown publicly make clear one thing though: Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus' public romance is very much over and done. Hemsworth is "happy to be moving on," Us's source said.

Cyrus, of course, is currently dating Australian singer Cody Simpson. The two announced their separation in August, less than one year into their marriage. Cyrus wrote on her Twitter that cheating was not why their marriage ended and that she'd always have feelings for her ex-husband and the man she dated on-off for the last 10 years.

"I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will," she wrote. "BUT at this point I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind. I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time. You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking , foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar. I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where i was when I was a younger."

Hemsworth's family approving of Brooks is big, too. Hemsworth's sister-in-law Elsa Pataky made headlines for saying Hemsworth deserved better than Cyrus last month. Pataky told Hola! that “my brother-in-law, well… After a relationship that you've dedicated ten years to, he's a little bit down, but he's coping well, he’s a strong boy and he deserves the best, I think he deserves much better. You always find support in your family, and he's joined at the hip with his brother, who has been there to give all the strength he needed."
