Level 1 Drops Preview Of SuperUnknown 21 Course

The 21st iteration of Level 1's SuperUnknown is officially underway, with a crowd of talented ams and established professionals descending on Mammoth Mountain, California.

Yesterday, Level 1 gave a cheeky preview of the event's course.

SuperUnknown is one of those events in freeskiing. It's been running since 2004, billed as an opportunity for lesser-known yet talented skiers to grab a slice of the limelight.

Essentially, up-and-coming skiers submit a short video of their skiing to Level 1. The production company then selects their favorites and invites them to an end-of-season shred session at a manicured park. When all is said and done, whoever throws down the hardest is crowned the SuperUnknown champion.

The competition has undergone some changes over the years, including adding a women's field and, for SuperUnknown's 20th anniversary, inviting a large group of skiing's best established professionals to join the qualified ams, concentrating an enormous amount of talent in one place.

They used that approach this season, too.

In short, SuperUnknown 21 is shaping up to be quite the show. Go have a look at Level 1's Instagram page to stay in the loop.
