"Let's Go!"- Skiers Celebrate As Stowe, VT Announces Opening Day

Yesterday, Stowe Mountain Resort, Vermont, shared exciting news, announcing plans to open for skiing and riding this Friday, November 17th.

Opening day details below.

Stowe Mountain Resort will open at 9 a.m. on Friday with the FourRunner Quad Lift out of the Mount Mansfield Base area. A limited supply of breakfast sandwiches will be on tap, with the Mansfield Lodge and Octagon Café open for those who miss out.

From Saturday, November 18th, the FourRunner Quad Lift will open at 8 a.m -- parking at the resort is free until December.

In the Instagram comments section of its announcement post, Stowe noted that opening day terrain offerings aren't locked in yet, writing, "The trail count could change based on the weather and conditions as the week goes on." To learn what's available on a day-to-day basis, Stowe advised skiers to call its snow reporters at  802-253-3600.

Similarly, via a press release shared with POWDER, Stowe issued an important reminder: "Limited terrain and early season conditions exist."

But that's enough of the nitty gritty. Who's ready to get after it? The ski season, at least at Stowe, is no longer a figment of our collective imaginations. It's here, and it's very real.
