Let This Video Remind You That Kylie Jenner Is Actually Afraid of Butterflies

Before Kylie Jenner revealed her daughter's name was Stormi, the Internet was abuzz with theories. The dominant one, for whatever reason, was that Jenner had named her baby "Butterfly" or something adjacent to the butterfly family. To be fair, there was evidence to support this: On the outside, at least, it seemed like Jenner was obsessed with the winged insects. Stormi's nursery is covered in butterfly decorations; Jenner herself frequently sports butterfly-covered jewlery; and she and Stormi's father, Travis Scott, have matching butterfly tattoos. Throw in the fact that Scott has a song called "The Butterfly Effect," and you have a pretty air-tight theory—well, by Twitter standards, at least.

But this wasn't the case at all. Fans couldn't have been more off base with baby Jenner's actual name—and had they done just a little more digging, they would've realized "Butterfly" was never a real possibility in the first place. This video from Jenner's E! reality show, Life of Kylie, proves it. In it, the 20-year-old makeup mogul reveals she's hopelessly scared of—wait for it—butterflies.

"I'm terrified—terrified—of butterflies. All butterflies," Jenner says in the clip, in which she and friends visit what looks like a butterfly garden. Jenner's pals are clearly enjoying themselves at this exhibit, but she isn't having it, squirming and freaking out whenever a butterfly gets remotely close to her. "This is how I think of them: Cut the wings off, and if you just look at their bodies, they're not that pretty."

There's no way Jenner would've named her daughter after something she is afraid of, people! Just think: Had we discovered this video sooner, we would've saved ourselves from hours of frustrating speculation.
