As noted by Popsugar, following the film’s release on November 8, fans took to social media to express their bewilderment as to how much Israeli-American actor Odeya Rush, who plays Addie in the film and who you may recognize from Lady Bird or Dumplin’, looks like Mila Kunis.
Watching the film, many viewers had to do double-take when Odeya appeared on-screen and couldn’t quite believe how much the pair looks like each other — some even had to make sure they weren’t actually related or seeing double. "Finishing let it snow and this one girl is literally mila kunis i can't believe they're not the same person," someone commented after watching the film.
“Odeya Rush and Mila Kunis are absolutely NOT related. Am I the only one freaked out?” another fan pointed out on Twitter. “Watched Let It Snow on Netflix. Very sweet movie. But there's a girl in it who is a Mila Kunis clone and it's freaking me out,” another one added, referring to Odeya.
From their brows, nose and lips to their eyes and hair, both actors do share some facial features that are uncannily similar — especially if we look at Mila’s footage from That ‘70s Show — leading fans to officially proclaim Odeya as Mila’s doppelgänger. I mean, some have even dream-cast the two in the ideal joint project.
One fan also noted that the similarities of the characters they play in both projects might have something to do with the strong likeness. “I think it's amazing that people are saying that Odeya Rush looks exactly like Mila Kunis in That's 70's Show because her character is exactly like Jackie in Season 1 of the show,” they wrote. And who knows? The brain works in mysterious ways!
However, Let It Snow might have reinforced this notion, but Odeya’s fans have actually been proclaiming the actors’ resemblance for quite some time now. “The whole Odeya Rush looking like Mila Kunis 🥰 did y'all not watch the goosebumps movie??? This is where my obsession started,” someone mentioned after seeing the avalanche of tweets.
“Honestly.. all i want in life is a that 70s show reboot where odeya rush plays mila kunis’ part as jackie burkhart,” a fan had also commented on Twitter back in August, providing side by side photographic evidence.
Odeya has yet to speak on the comparisons — though she’s been getting them for a while — and while it’s all been fun and games so far, as some fans noted, we shouldn’t fall prey to restricting her persona to only looking like Mila.
