Let Rihanna's Body-Positive Comments Be a Lesson to Us All

Ever have a week when one day you're looking toned and lean, then the next day your pants won't button? Don't worry, Rihanna has them, too.

On Friday, the 29-year-old singer held a "pep rally" at Bloomingdale's to celebrate the launch of her Fenty x Puma collection, and she took a moment to drop some major truths in an interview with The Cut. The style icon talked about the "pleasure" of dressing to her fluctuating figure on a day-to-day basis, and it's so relatable and inspiring.

"I actually have had the pleasure of a fluctuating body type, where one day I can literally fit into something that is bodycon, and then the next day—the next week—I need something oversized," she said. "I need a little crop here and a high-waist there to hide that part, you know? I really pay attention every day when I go into the closet about what's working for my body that morning."

Bottom line? RiRi wants you to wear what you feel comfortable in: "I think it's important to make sure that you wear the thing that works for your body the best, and that's flattering."

And fellas, if you want to run up on the Barbadian beauty, try wearing black.

"I love a man in black," Rihanna told the source. "It's so sexy and mysterious; confident and secure—all the things I love about a man."

We bet we'll be seeing a lot of men in black in the coming weeks!
