Let’s Break Down the ‘Never Have I Ever’ Season 4 Ending, Shall We?
It's official: Never Have I Ever has come to an end. And while we're totally heartbroken to say goodbye to Devi and her crew, we definitely can say it was a fun and wild ride. While most shows kind of mess up their endings, NHIE actually nailed the ending and gave us everything we basically wanted including telling us who Devi ended up with.

As We Go On, We Remember...
Actually, the finale starts off with a very big moment that Devi will definitely remember forever. After waiting and hoping, Devi finally got her big Princeton acceptance letter and all finally feels right in the world. After hearing the news, she immediately tells Fabiola and Aneesa before bumping into Ben who is excited to hear about it.
Devi asks Ben if they can celebrate over the summer break, but he reveals that he's heading to NYC right after graduation to take an internship at a law firm before officially starting at Columbia. Surprised, Devi notes that their rivalry is now over, while Ben notes that he'll miss having a nemesis and that no one else will compare. John McEnroe, in his iconic voice-over, reveals that while Devi finally has the one thing she's ever wanted in her life, everything else seemed to be slipping away.
We quickly move on to graduation where we get to see everyone in their caps and gowns while Devi is also announced as valedictorian.
What happens over the summer?
Surprisingly, the show then goes into a bit of time jump to the final week of summer break. We see all the girlies getting ready for Nirmala's big wedding to Len. While Nalani isn't happy that everything is happening all at once, Nirmala says that it's her astrologer who recommended that date cause it was a "very auspicious day for sensuality."
While going down the big to-do list, the topic of thaalis came up and Devi asks her mom if she is planning to take hers off now that she is seeing Andres. Nalani states that Andres doesn't care and she's used to wearing it, before telling her that she needs to pack ASAP. Kamala also confirms that her and Manish have moved to Baltimore and notes that they hope to visit her.
Since it's the last night, Eleanor and Fabiola come over for a final Masked Singer watch together. The trio tries to figure out the next time that they'll see each other and realize that their calendars don't overlap until the summer. Freaking out that they won't see each other for a long time, Nirmala decides to invite all of Devi's friends to the wedding so they can hang out one last time.

So does Devi pack everything in on time?
Of course not! But to be fair, it's not for a lack of trying. Devi starts to put everything together, but she ends up finding her Equatorial Guinea title from the Model UN trip and remembered her moment with Ben. She sends him a photo of her holding it up as Ben is at the club with some of his fellow interns.
They start texting and Devi kind of gives up on packing, noting that she'll get to it tomorrow. While talking to the other guys, Ben reveals that he was scared to reveal his true feelings to his last crush as he figures out that the guys are kind of jerks and not exactly people he wants to be around.
Is it time for a wedding yet?!
Oh yeah, and it's the sickest Indian/Jewish wedding mash-up. As Devi greets everyone after the ceremony, Paxton and Linsday/Miss Thompson are now dating. With it being their last night together, they all decide to have some fun before Nalani drags Devi away to say hit to all the aunties and uncles.
With everyone telling her what a wild idea it is to move across the country, Devi starts to panic before Kamala jumps in and saves her. She asks Devi where Ben is before Kamala lists all the clues that Ben has dropped showing that he was into her.
After grabbing a bottle of champagne, Devi, Fabiola, and Eleanor meet up to toast their new futures. Fabiola notes that she is scared about the future, letting Devi feel better about also feeling better about what is going to happen next. Nalani grabs Devi so she can play the harp for their first dance, while Nirmala criticizes Nalani for being too harsh on her daughter, especially on her last night at home.
It's hard to say goodbye
Devi freaks out about packing and talks to her father about it all. Nalani comes up to help her daughter pack and notes that she is proud of her and will miss her when she leaves. The two have a heart-to-heart and start packing up together.
Back at the wedding, Devi and Kamala surprise the crowd with a very sick dance number before everyone else joins in on the fun. Devi and Paxton meet up where he reveals that he's heading back to ASU to study teaching. Paxton gives her varsity letters for her work on the swim team and Devi tells him that she can use it to reinvent herself in college. Paxton says that she's perfect just the way she is, before she tells him that while he was a great boyfriend, they were better friends together.
The group gets together to play Never Have I Ever (wink) and they all start to reveal some big secrets to one another. As Devi is about to tell her NHIE, Ben walks in and a typical rom-com slow-motion moment begins. Devi asks him what he's doing there, and Ben reveals to her that he had this need to tell her that he loves her.
Kamala notices their reunion and tells them that she'll cover for them as they enjoy a moment together. Nalani is also seen taking off her thaali, showing that she's starting to move on from her Mohan.
So wait, she ends up with Ben?!
Yep, and the two end up back in Ben's room where they have sex. After a fun night together, they decide to continue their relationship while they're in college. Devi heads back home in time to fly out, but she makes a quick stop to pray to the gods one last time. She thanks them for everything that they've done and the journey that she's been on in college. She also asks them to keep an eye on her mom while she's gone.
The series ends with different back-to-back scenes showing our favorite characters in their new lives. Nalani and Andres are enjoying time together, Fabiola is thriving in her robotics program at Howard, Fabiola is filming a scene while Trent helps with the explosions on set, Paxton is studying at ASU, Kamala and Manish grab ice cream together in Baltimore, and Ben and Devi have a movie night in Devi's dorm room.

Sadly, this is the end. But it does seem like there's always a possibility for a reunion in the future. But, for now, it's time to say goodbye to Devi and her friends as the show is not set to come back for a fifth season.
