ICYMI, Zendaya recently turned 26, and per our calculations (and Kenan Thompson’s for that matter), she can *officially* consider herself safe from Leonardo DiCaprio. During his opening monologue, the Emmys host commented on the Euphoria actor’s recent birthday and noted that “26 is a weird age in Hollywood. Young enough to play a high school student, but too old to date Leonardo DiCaprio.” Literally no thoughts, just 😳😳😳:

The Twittersphere apparently had *a lot* to say about the comment, with some simply laughing it off as a joke while others noticed the actor’s seemingly embarrassed reaction.

The now-running joke that Leo truly does *not* date anyone under 25 began after he and model Camila Morrone ended their four-year relationship earlier this month. Once news of the split broke, people everywhere noticed that she was merely the latest of Leo’s partners whom the actor split with shortly after their 25th birthday.

And TBH, the stats are pretty remarkable when you look at them for a sec. Ahem, here ya go:

TL;DR: Since 1999, the actor (who is now 47 years old) has quite literally never (!!) publicly dated a woman older than a quarter century. Interestingly enough, this wouldn’t be the first awards show that uses this remarkable stat in a bit. At the Oscars earlier this year, host Amy Schumer told the crowd about Leo: “He’s done so much to fight climate change and leave behind a cleaner, greener planet for his girlfriends.” Luckily, he laughed along at the joke, but with the memes spiking *a ton* yet again post-Camila split, maybe, just mayyyyybe, he (and the world) are feeling a little more like this right about now:
