Lenny Kravitz is getting ready to walk his daughter Zoë Kravitz down the aisle for a second time after she got engaged to Channing Tatum late last year. And it sounds like Tatum and Kravitz are already getting along famously, as the 59-year-old rocker explained to Sherri Shepherd this week.

"Of course, that's my daughter," Kravitz told Shepherd on Thursday's episode of Sherri, when asked if he would be giving a big father of the bride speech. "And he's a great guy. We get on really well. We have our own relationship as well."

"You know, we hang out, and we talk. He's a very soulful human being," Kravitz continued. "He was raised well. He has manners and class."

When asked how it was when he first met his daughter's new boyfriend, Kravitz recalled that it was "very natural." "Like I said, he's very sweet, and you know, it works. It works," he explained. "Life is about timing and what you've gone through, what you've learned, and they're in the right place."

Kravitz was perhaps referring to the fact that this will be the second marriage for both his daughter and Tatum. Zoë was first linked to Tatum shortly after her divorce from actor Karl Glusman was finalized in 2021. And Tatum was previously married to actress Jenna Dewan, who he met on on the set of their film Step Up in 2006. The pair were wed for nearly a decade before they separated in 2018, and share one daughter, 10-year-old Everly.

But as far as his own love life goes, Kravitz, who was married once to Zoë's mother Lisa Bonet for just four years before separating in 1991, also hasn't ruled out getting remarried.

"Absolutely. I’ve grown enough. I’ve become stronger," he said on the possibility of marriage in an Esquire profile last year. "I’ve become more disciplined. I’ve become more open to be able to do so. But it’s been a very difficult thing for me to figure out."

Well, if he meets the right lady, perhaps Tatum will be giving a speech at his father-in-law's wedding one day.
