Legendary record producer Quincy Jones, 90, had a medical emergency recently that resulted in a visit to the emergency room, where he was checked over by doctors.

According to his rep, who spoke with TMZ on June 18, Jones had a bad reaction to something he ate and erred on the side of caution by calling 911 for help.

As the rep continued, they stated that paramedics came to Jones' home in Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday afternoon and took him to the E.R. to get a full check up, after which the doctors gave Jones the all-clear to go home.

It's said the Thriller producer never lost consciousness and was in "great spirits" during the ordeal.
