Mark Gonzales' iconic boneless photo from the Gemco bank in Oceanside, California, is one photo that will remain burned in our brains forever—like Tod Swank's "Push" it's a timeless gem that has graced the eyes of thousands upon thousands over the years.

Grant recently posted this never before seen gem of Gonz doing a Indy boneless from the same session (different angle) that gives us all a new perspective of this spot, from a golden era of skateboarding many of us will never truly be able to fathom.

I was not even a thought in my folks mind in 1985, so to me, photos like this will always have an allure to them that I can't quite explain. Styles were different, boards were different, personalities were different—but skateboarding was still just skateboarding.

Grant has been on fire lately. He's been posting some seriously heavy never-before-seen gems on his Instagram, each serving as a reminder as to just how much he's seen through the lens of his cameras for the last few decades. With an archive as vast (and iconic) as his, he could post a photo a day for years to come and hardly make a dent.

I'm always stoked to hear the stories behind all of Grant's iconic photos but seeing different tricks, different angles, (even different skaters) from these legendary sessions really get me stoked. It's like an extra window into that dreamy time and place; a time and place I'd use a time machine to jolt back to if ever given the chance.

But until I invent one, moments like this will do. Thanks, Grant!
