Ready to strike a (real-estate) pose? Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz has just put her Upper West Side home on the market. The shutterbug has an impressive New York real estate portfolio including a residence in Rhineback, a co-op in Chelsea, and her own mini-village of properties in the West Village. She bought this 3,500-square-foot duplex on the Upper West Side in 2014 in order to be closer to her children's schools at the time. Now, her reasons for parting ways with her uptown oasis are all too relatable. "The apartment is now too big for me," Leibovitz told The New York Times. “I live and work downtown, and our house upstate is now our family home.”

Located in the Brentmore—a 12-story, Central Park-adjacent building that has been home to a handful of celebrities like Robert DeNiro, Sting, and Paul Simon—Leibovitz's home boasts four bedrooms and three bathrooms. (A considerable upgrade from the shoebox-sized studios most city dwellers are familiar with.) Meanwhile, charming touches like built-in bookshelves, a decorative fireplace with a wood-carved mantel, and oversized windows give this palatial apartment a photo-ready edge. Reminiscent of the fictional Arconia in Only Murders in the Building, and the real-life iconic New York buildings that inspired it, the Brentmore is the kind of place you'd see in a Nora Ephron movie.

We'd expect nothing less cinematic from a photographer who has captured some of the most iconic shots of notable subjects like Michelle Obama, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and Demi Moore. But what might be surprising to some is its price tag. The duplex is currently on the market for $8.6 million—considerably less than the $11.3 million Leibovitz ponied up for it nine years ago. As Corcoran's Deborah Kern, who is listing the home, says, this property is "priced to sell." Since the duplex reportedly has a monthly maintenance fee of $10,307, it's possible that the lower price tag is meant to offset that reccurring charge.

Nevertheless, $8.6 million is nothing to scoff at! If this real-estate "deal" is still a tad out of your budget, read on for an up-close-and-personal look at this picture perfect pad. You can at least imagine getting ready for your real-estate close up.

While most Manhattanites would be lucky to have a kitchen with a dishwasher and full-sized fridge, Leibovitz's culinary quarters are decked out with a petite island, a breakfast nook, and an accompanying butler's pantry. Bon appétit!

Home Office

While we're sure Leibovitz used a proper dark room to develop old-fashioned film back in the day, this slim office must have been a great place for the popular photog to edit digital shots, answer emails, and strike major deals.
