Legendary British Downhill Manager Unveils "Mystery Bike"

Nigel Page has been one of the most important figures in British mountain biking. After a professional race career, he went on to manage Chain Reaction Cycles, one of the most successful professional gravity teams.

Unfortunately, Chain Reaction’s parent company went bankrupt, leading to the team shutting down. Thankfully Page was able to sort out a new frame. See his custom Production Privée below.

Nigel Page’s Production Privée frame settles a mystery about what bike the manager will ride. Though fans speculated from the teasers of the build that it would be a new sponsor for a team managed by Nigel, nothing of the sort has been announced.

Page spent years managing the Nukeproof CRC team where legend Sam Hill saw unparalleled success in both downhill and then enduro, winning three EWS overall titles. In addition to managing, Page was known for getting inside the tape himself. He has a slew of podium finishes in the masters category at the EWS.

Though he has a stellar track record racing and managing, Page is perhaps best known for his performance in the commentary box on Danny Hart’s famous World Championship win in 2011. Page alongside Rob Warner went viral for their unabashed excitement for their countryman Danny Hart who won by over 11 seconds on the muddy course.
