Kai Parker is back and he's ready to stir up some trouble on Legacies.

The ultimate The Vampire Diaries bad guy made his big return on tonight's episode of Legacies as Alaric, Josie, and Lizzie suddenly found themselves stuck in the prison world, alongside some familiar faces of Ric's past.

Of course, the entire cast was super excited to have him join in on some of the fun, including Matthew Davis who co-starred with him in The Vampire Diaries.

"Chris is so wonderful! He's such a professional. He and I always had a good laugh on set when we worked together and it was funny so all of our inside jokes came back to the surface right away and we were having a good laugh about that," Matt Davis told Seventeen during a visit to the Legacies set. "It's always great when you have familiar faces from The Vampire Diaries world come back around."

As for their big reunion, Matthew mentions that things "will not go well for either one of them."

Kaylee Bryant, who stars as Josie, also opened up about Chris Wood's big return, especially as a fan who has wanted him to be back for quite some time now.

"It was amazing! Like, truly amazing. I was such a dork when I saw him at the table read and I was like, 'I'm so sorry that I have been saying your name in every single interview that I have done since the beginning. You are here because of me. I am so sorry, but welcome,'" she said during the set visit. "And he was like, 'You’ve been mentioning me in interviews?' And I was like, 'Oh, thank god! Never mind! Nice to meet you, I'm Kaylee.' So yeah, it was one of those pinch me moments where I had obviously known him as Kai Parker and getting to know Chris was a whole other story."

"He actually kind of re-inspired the entire cast in a way because he is such a good actor and when he walks on set, he is the kindest person to everybody. And he knows all of his lines and he is willing to take anything into his control that he can," she continued. "So, it really inspired me a lot and I think he inspired the entire cast in a way. He came in the middle of the season where you can kind of get a little run down, so him coming on set was a game changer for everyone."

Jenny Boyd, who plays Lizzie, also talked about Chris' return and how fans should definitely be excited to see him in the next few episodes.

"I hope [that it lives up to fans' expectations]. I mean, Chris Wood is an incredible actor and he brings such a depth to our show, I think. I was so blown away by what he did and brought [to the show], so people will not be disappointed with that," Jenny said on set. "Yeah, it's incredibly exciting. Fans will be on their edge of their seats for as long as Kai is a part of our story."

Danielle Rose Russell, who plays Hope, also gushed over his big return and how it brings The Vampire Diaries and Legacies closer than ever before.

"I really love how it all manifests itself. With episode 12 and with Chris Wood's return, what's coming is gonna be totally unexpected and I think is some of our best work as a show," Danielle Rose Russell said on the set of Legacies. "And how he's involved in all of that, which selfishly, I wish I could've been more a part of. But, you know, it's a very, very interesting story that fans are going to love."

"And I think it is a connection to the past shows and it's kind of the writers of this show kind of, you know, acknowledging how culture has moved and society has moved on and how different view points and opinions and that kind of all comes to a head," Jenny Boyd added. "And so it creates this really interesting conversation about the shows and the world of the shows and the dynamics of people and characters and so I'm super excited for it as well."

"Yeah, I think it's our biggest homage to Vampire Diaries with that storyline," Danielle continued.

Of course, the final scene of the episode confirmed that it's not the end of Kai Parker just yet and that his big return will be for longer than fans originally thought to be.

"And he's a part of our story a little more than people might expect. And I can't say, obviously, because people just think he's [only on for one episode]. But, we actually all have dynamics with him and that was really really cool. 'Cause I think that my dynamic with him, even though I didn't know much about the merge until recently or much about him," Danielle said. "So the few scenes that I got with him, he is one of the most incredible people and actors that we've gotten the pleasure to work with on the show."
