Lee is putting an OG style back in the spotlight.

Following the launch of its first exclusively female partnership with L.A. brand Daydreamer, the Kontoor Brands-owned heritage label relaunched the women’s Lee Rider Jean.

The jean is Lee’s first designed to flatter and fit the shape of a woman’s body. Launched in 1947, the Rider is an adaptation of the original men’s 101 Rider cowboy jean from 1924 and complements the brand’s iconic Rider jacket. The style has been “worn by everyone from outlaws to movie stars,” according to the brand.

“Lee has been designing denim for women longer than anyone; we have 70-plus years of expertise in creating the fit for her,” said Betty Madden, Lee VP of global design. “This new iteration of one of our original jeans takes the best of our heritage—beautiful fabric, iconic details and trim—and combines it with a modern fit that we think today’s woman will wear anywhere.”

Available in two versions, the updated jean balances comfort, fashion and nostalgia. The Rider Classic is a mid-rise jean with a straight leg and relaxed fit. The Rider Slim Straight also features a mid-rise paired with a slimmer leg. Both comfort-stretch jeans come in four washes, spanning black to light wash. Some have distressing on the knees and back pockets. Both come in a blend of cotton, Lyocell and elastane.

The Rider Jean retails for $88-$108 and is available in sizes 24-35. It is available now on Lee’s website and stores in Europe and North America as well as retailers such as Anthropologie, Nuuly and select boutiques.
